We are proud to announce that we have been successful in putting together a team of freelance writers that will write for us to gain even more experience and recognition. We are working with different writing groups in second life to share ideas and find different people that want to work with us. We have determined 4 pricing categories for writers, student, amateur, semi-pro and professional. It is certain that as writers skills develop or as the magazine grows that we will adjust the pricing categories in accordance.
We have recently hired Prue Price as our chief photographer and graphic designer, yet there remains room for others in the same field on a reference or freelance base. We have also hired a professional editor on a temporary basis because of other engagements, so this position remains unfilled until further notice.
We have secured a good portion of a sim and beautiful low lag land to setup head office. Building and decoration is almost complete.
The first issue will be a challenge, as no other issue had been completed before by springboards, but we remain confident that we can sell advertisements. We are offering to any sale representatives of the magazine a very generous commission to any ad they can sell.
We looked into the history of springboard and found out about one plan was to make a catalogue for second life newbie’s, this plan remains on our minds and we will definitely pursue this further as time permits. So far through the feedback of our project in second life’s music scene has be enormously positive and a lot of artists are willing to have an active share in this.
We are very proud to be able to join springboard with some of our other projects including SLTRAX a radio station for SL and its artists and special events. Advertisement will also be available through radio. This will enable our clients to go even further in their campaigns.
Our financials will follow shortly after the appearance of our first issue!
