Second Life meets Real Life through a contest dedicated to people who really loves to draw.
"Sirena" is the italian word for "mermaid", and is also our club's name.
The CYBER CLUB CAFE' SIRENA (www.cybercafe.it/sirena), after the first ten years of activity, completely renews its look, getting started from a new logo.
We need to communicate the idea of a synthesis of our purposes and history, an idea that shows itself through a perceptual, fresh, instant and simple sign.
Sirena is looking for a new inspiration from the metaverse...

PRIZES
1st place: 25000 L$
2nd place: 3000 L$
3rd place: 1000 L$
CONTEST RULES
The subject must be a mermaid, drawn according to the contestant's liking.
The logo must contain the words "Cybercafè Sirena".
It is allowed to use at most 3 font types.
Vectorial files must be saved in Freehand, Illustrator or Corel Draw formats (CMYK).
Raster files must be saved in TIFF (CMYK), in A4 size (210x297 mm), at 300 dpi resolution.
ENROLLMENT
You have to send an IM to Leigh Waydelich or Cristian Vidor.
They will answer in confirmation of the enrollment, referring also your identification number.
DELIVERY
Send us your drawing as e-mail attachment, writing your SL name as the subject.
The e-mail address will be given to the contestants only.
VOTING
Voting will take place in two different ways: popular vote and jury panel.
Who gets to the higher score, coming by the total of popular and jury votes,
will be the winner.
The works will be shown for the popular votes along ten days, during which
anyone can vote for you, through a contest board.
The jury panel is composed of the IBI Fair owners.
PLEASE NOTE:
Enrollment is open between the 19th and the 26th of June 2008. The end of terms to send the drawings is July 10th. The logos will be exposed publicly in IBI Land, at "IBI Fair Leonardo Da Vinci", between the 11th and the 20th of July. On July 20th, in the course of a dedicated event in IBI Land, the contest winner will be elected.

Second Life incontra la Real Life in un concorso dedicato a chi ama disegnare.
Dopo 10 anni di attività, il CYBER CLUB CAFE' SIRENA (www.cybercafe.it/sirena) rinnova completamente la sua immagine, a partire dal logo, ed è perciò alla ricerca di un'idea che possa essere la sintesi dei propri intenti e della propria storia, di un'idea che si manifesti attraverso un simbolo intuitivo, fresco, immediato, compatto.
Sirena cerca una nuova ispirazione dal metaverso...
La tua idea per la nuova Sirena potrebbe essere quella vincente.
I PREMI
1°classificato: 25.000 L$
2°classificato: 3.000 L$
3°classificato: 1.000 L$
LE REGOLE DEL CONCORSO
Il tema del logo deve essere una sirena, disegnata secondo le preferenze del concorrente.
Il logo deve contenere le parole "Cybercafè Sirena".
E' consentito l'utilizzo di un numero massimo di 3 font.
I file in formato vettoriale dovranno essere salvati in formato illustrator o corel draw o freehand (CMYK).
I file in formato raster dovranno essere presentati in formato TIFF (CMYK) entro le dimensioni di un A4 ad una risoluzione minima di 300 dpi .
LE MODALITA' DI ISCRIZIONE
Inviare un IM a Leigh Waydelich o Cristian Vidor con la richiesta di iscrizione. Quando la richiesta viene accettata, viene inviato un IM di conferma con il numero progressivo assegnato al partecipante.
LE MODALITA' DI PRESENTAZIONE DEGLI ELABORATI
Inviare l'elaborato in allegato a una email che contenga anche nome e cognome SL del partecipante.
L'indirizzo email a cui inviare gli elaborati verrà comunicato esclusivamente ai partecipanti.
I MECCANISMI DELLE VOTAZIONI
Le votazioni avranno luogo con due differenti meccanismi: tramite voto popolare e tramite giuria di qualità. Sarà eletto vincitore l'elaborato che raggiungerà il punteggio massimo, calcolato sommando i voti popolari e quelli assegnati dalla giuria di qualità.
Gli elaborati saranno esposti a IBI Fair per le votazioni popolari (che avverranno tramite contest board) per la durata di 10 giorni, e potranno essere votati da chiunque desideri farlo.
La giuria di qualità sarà invece composta dagli owners di IBI Fair.
ATTENZIONE:
Le iscrizioni al contest saranno aperte dal 19 al 26 Giugno 2008 compresi. Il termine ultimo per la presentazione degli elaborati è giovedì 10 Luglio. Tutti i loghi verrano esposti per le votazioni del pubblico a IBI Land, presso "IBI Fair Leonardo Da Vinci", dall' 11 al 20 Luglio compresi. Il 20 Luglio, nel corso di un apposito evento, che avrà luogo a IBI Land, verrà proclamato il vincitore del concorso.
