CSLL Supports New Anti Ad Farm Policy
CEO Oceanlane Hails Linden Lab's Decision Banning Land Extortion |
For the record, Crystal Springs Land and Loan Corporation fully supports the new policy by Linden Lab to help protect the rights of landowners, and to stop the degradation of the beauty and land extortion in Second Life. This new policy can be found in the Official Linden Blog titled “Mainland and the Ad Farm Problem” at: http://blog.secondlife.com/2008/02/13/mainland-and-the-ad-farm-problem/ .
There is misinformation being spread by people who have violated this policy and have received warning letters. They are saying that having a for sale sign on property is a violation of this new policy. I checked with Linden Lab, and this isn’t true. Having a for sale sign is of course, still allowed.
Individuals who have received warnings got them because of serious ad farm extortion attempts, similar to this: http://www.knowprose.com/node/17496 .
Crystal Springs Land and Loan Corporation has never done this type of ad farm extortion against landowners, and calls upon other land companies to stop doing this immediately.
